Location: Stardust Beach Hotel is situated in the remote east coast, by a lagoon on one side and the magnificent Indian Ocean on the other. It is close to Pottuvil – an area which offers high-class surfing (the best on the island), deserted beaches, The East coast is at its finest between April to October. The drive from Colombo is around 8 hours.

Accommodation: There are three categories of rooms: basic Beach Cabanas, with private terrace, sea view, attached shower and shared toilet ; Double Bungalows with bathroom; and Deluxe Rooms in a new building offering spacious accommodation, phones, mini bar, private terrace or balcony, attached bathroom, all with sea or beach-garden view. Facilities: There are two restaurants, including a beach restaurant, serving sumptuous Sri Lankan and international cuisine which includes home made ice crèmes and cakes. Meals are prepared using fresh vegetables from the local market and seafood brought right to the doorstep by local fisherman. A range of wines are also on offer. Excursions - The Point, Pottuvil Point, and Crocodile Rock are all within an hours ride from the hotel. Bicycles and canoes are available for those interested in exploring the nearby lagoon.
