Many World War 11 shipwrecks, discovered not too far off from the shore, add to the dive experience. Of the nearby coral reef islands, the Pigeon Island is one of the more famous ones and is located very close to the resort’s beach. With prior approval, visitors can explore the depths of the ocean, ideal for snorkeling excursions. The waters around Trincomalee are also famous for Whale watching with more than 12 different species including the Common Blue Whale, Bryde's Whale and the Sperm Whale inhabiting these waters.
